A controversial book was published that caught the attention of the whole world. Craig Unger, author of the book “American Kompromat” published on January 26, 2021, wrote “How the KGB recruited Donald Trump and other tales of sex, greed and money” on the cover of the book.
Yuri Shvets, a former KGB officer who emigrated to the United States in 1993, said that Russian special services had “trained” former US President Donald Trump as their agents for nearly 40 years. He announced this information in an interview with The Guardian.
67-year-old Yuri Shvets is an American citizen and currently working as a corporate security researcher. Shvets has become an important source of information for Author Craig Unger.
Craig Unger claims that Donald Trump’s ties with Russia began to take shape in 1976 when he decided to build real estate in Manhattan.
The former agent of the State Security Committee of the Soviet Union added that the KGB had thoroughly studied Trump’s personality and understood what kind of person he was.
“The KGB knew that it was highly intellectually and psychologically vulnerable, it is commendable,” Shvets said.
According to the author and former agent, the Russians saved Trump from bankruptcy multiple times in the 1980s and 1990s by paying large sums that were laundered through their property. When Trump became president, it was time to pay the bills and he gave Putin everything he wanted.
